Watched all around the world, the Super
Bowl brings friends and family together in front of the
television for an annual tradition of football and grease.
Chef Oliver De Volpi may be a professional , but
that doesn't mean he shies away from greasy meals when it comes to the Super
Bowl. Actually, it’s the opposite.
From McGill’s Food and Dining Services, Chef De
Volpi says he likes to take advantage of the world-famous event to be creative
- and proposes a menu to both satisfy the burgers and pogos lovers, while
adding a touch of his own.
If you're lucky enough to receive an invitation to
De Volpi’s place for the Super Bowl, here are some of the things you can
expect:
Chorizo pogos with herbed mustard
Mini Wagyu and Guinness cheddar burgers
Shrimp and coconut lollipops
Fresh Nachos with mango avocado salsa
And of course, spicy boneless chicken wings with
blue cheese dipping sauce
Whether you're a world-class chef or just a
football fan, Chef de Volpi says there's only one rule: keep your utensils
away. After all, a Super Bowl party where you don't getting your hands dirty is
like being on a football field without being pushed around.
There is a way to enjoy the Super Bowl and make it
a culinary experience at the same time. Sure, if you don’t have enough time you
can always rummage through your freezer or get something delivered to
your place, but why not take a risk this year and impress your guests?
For the
show, Super Bowl ads will take care of the rest while football players will do
their best to entertain you.
